Announcing: Cowboy Fever!
On April 2nd, 2011, we’ll be celebrating the release of Cowboy Fever with an all-day extravaanza at Barnes & Noble Cheyenne!
I’m excited to announce that the folks from Cheyenne Therapeutic Equestrian Center will be at the bookstore all day with information on therapy riding and how you can get involved with helping children with autism and veterans enjoy the benefits of riding. If we’re lucky, Sundae the tiny pony may also pay a visit in the parking lot!
Just let the cashier know that you’re there to help CTEC, and they’ll make sure a percentage of your purchase goes to the organization.
And for those of you who can’t make it to Cowboy Country, internet purchases from April 2nd to April 6th can also be earmarked for CTEC. I’ll have more information on how to make that happen in the coming days.
Then, at 6:00 p.m., the real party starts. Anita and Helen from CTEC will talk a little bit about CTEC and what they do. Then I’ll talk a little about how the center inspired the book, and sign your copies. Again, a percentage of your purchases will benefit CTEC and help kids and horses!
And then… join us at Uncle Charlie’s, 6001 Yellowstone Road, for the after-party! We’ll have snacks, a cash bar, and best of all, music by Todd Dereemer. Todd is my favorite local musician, and he’s featured in a scene in Cowboy Fever playing the book’s theme song, Rodeo Queen. He’s a talented singer-songwriter and his music perfectly captures the mood and world of my books.
So to recap, that’s an all-day bookfair at Barnes & Noble, a signing at the bookstore at 6:00, and the afterparty from 8:00 until whenever the cows–or horses, or partygoers–decide to come home!
