I’m editing today. It’s my last time through the new book, and I just became frighteningly aware of the number of decisions I have to make, just to write a single paragraph.

Every word choice is a decision. How to structure each sentence is a decision. And then there’s content. Do I really need this bit at all? How can I make it punchier, use fewer words?

This is why you never, ever want to think about how the sausage is made when you’re making sausage!

Time to take a break…
